Pilers return to site

This week, Rock and Aluvium, have been back on site for the second phase of the piling work. This should be complete by early next week.

The work on the ground beams is progressing well.

We have made good progress with the MUGA pitch. The tarmac was laid at the end of last week and the fencing around it has been put up this week. The rubber surface will be put in place next week.

We have been busy preparing for the school frames to be delivered in a couple of weeks.

Setting steel works

This week we have been concreting the ground beams and setting the bolts of the steel frames in place, in preparation for the pillars.

You may remember some of the students had a visit from piling specialists Rock and Alluvium, who are carrying out the piling work for the building. Their next visit is due to take place in a couple of weeks so we have been busy preparing the site for this.

Things are beaming

Friday 5th March

We have been progressing with the construction of the ground beams, which form the foundations of the building. There is a lot of work to be done, which we’ll be busy with over the coming weeks.

You may have noticed the road sweepers around the site, who have been doing their best to keep the grounds outside the school clear during the mud shift. Local residents will have received the latest newsletter from Bardsley’s, keeping them up to date on what is happening.

Over the coming weeks we will be focusing on completing the MUGA pitch (Multi Use Games Area).
